5 Days /4 Night
The distance to Tarangire National Park is about 150 km, taking approximately 2 to 3 hours to drive from Arusha. After a morning safari briefing, you'll journey to the park, known for its stunning landscapes of bush savannahs, seasonal marshes, and impressive baobab trees.
It is one of the best places to see elephants up close, along with zebras, buffaloes, and migratory wildebeests that attract predators like lions. While leopards and cheetahs are rarely seen, you'll enjoy the scenery and wildlife from the open roof of the safari vehicle. In the late afternoon, you will head to Lake Burunge Tented Lodge for the night.
Distance: approximately 100 km; driving time: 1-2 hours.
After breakfast, you'll travel from the Tarangire Area to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse wildlife, including over 400 bird species, primates, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, and baboons. The park's alkaline Lake Manyara is a beautiful seasonal breeding ground for flamingos and various waterfowl.
After an exciting game drive, you'll spend the night at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
Distance: approximately 200 km; driving time: about 4-6 hours.
After breakfast, you'll travel through the highlands to the southern Serengeti. Around midday, you'll arrive at Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's largest park, known for its diverse habitats and unique rock formations called kopjes.
The park is famous for its annual wildebeest migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras search for fresh water and grass. During your stay at the Kati Kati Tented Camp, you'll enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Game Drives: Spend the day observing wildlife in Serengeti National Park. Your locations depend on the migrating herds, which attract predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
From November to December, the herds migrate from the northern hills to the southern plains, while the wildebeest migration occurs in the north from April to June. Your guide will know the best spots for viewing the animals.
You will stay overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided.
The distance is approximately 170 km, with a driving time of 4 to 6 hours. You'll have opportunities for game viewing on your way from Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoy the stunning views of the caldera.
Next, you'll travel to Karatu in the Ngorongoro highlands, where you can walk through a coffee plantation to learn about coffee cultivation and processing. You'll spend the night at one of the three Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure Lodges, with meals provided throughout your stay.
Distance: approximately 50 km; Driving time: 1-2 hours.
Good morning! After breakfast, you will return to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater. This region hosts over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five: lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, leopard, hyenas, wild dogs, and many birds. Enjoy an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch before returning to your Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure Lodge for the night. Meals included are breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Distance: approximately 160 km; driving time: approximately 2-3 hours. After a relaxing breakfast, you will return to Arusha, arriving around noon. You will be dropped off in the city centre or at the airport.
